With all of the talk about change, whose “change” are you most comfortable with. The good news is that we can rely on one who is changeless, one who never changes, and is the same yesterday, today and forever.
God is our refuge and strength,
A very help in time of trouble.
Psalm 46:1
Last night I went to a concert by a family group, the “Mark Dubbeld Family” whose most recent album is entitled “Changeless.” While there I bought a couple of items; a t-shirt that says “Make America Righteous Again: Proverbs 14:34,” and a devotional book to go along with their new album (I have the album on Amazon Ultimate Music) written by Janene, the mother. We were all very blessed by the message the family brought because it is of utmost importance that we, as the body of Christ, pray for the land that we live in and do what we can, with the leadership of the Holy Spirit, to “Make America Righteous Again.” It does not have anything to do with politics or a political party but everything to do with making disciples.
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.
Proverbs 14:34
Today, as we hear the news of the day, remember to put your trust in God because he is the “same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) and he will be with us as we follow him. This has always been important, but as we go though the tumult of a nation at war with itself, it becomes much harder to stay true to our convictions and to follow him. Our trust is very well placed when we trust in him, as Psalm 46:11 says, “The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.”
So be strong, hold to his unchanging hand, for he is changeless. For encouragement, look up the Mark Dubbeld Family, they have encouraged me in my faith.
